Projects
DrawBot
|
This Task we were challenged to build and code a robot to draw something. The build phase of the draw bot challenge was fun because that is the kind of stuff I enjoy. The coding I tried to figure out but I never did get it running. The code came from a website called code bender. the code was downloaded from the site and that was the code we used for the presentation.
In this project I learned how to code and wire motors, the way they work and hot to build using vex components. |
Recycled Bench
|
For a school project me and three other people where tasked with building a piece of furniture out of only recycled materials. Although it doesn't look pretty it could hold the weight of me and my group members.
in this challenge I learnt structural design and where to reinforce areas that needed to carry more wait. With this we also needed to have an electric component and for that we used an arduino to add blinking lights to attract people. |
Spaghetti Bridge
In this school project we were tasked to design and build a bridge out of spaghetti and tape. My group decided to make a bridge shaped like a triangle because we learned earlier that a triangle was the strongest shape. There was a twist with this challenge where an other group had to build our bridge. The purpose of this challenge I think was to challenge our memory of the engineering design principals and to see how we needed to reiterate our design.
In this project we learned how to iterate and reiterate the elements of design.

Project X-51
Project X-51 was my favorite out of the year. For this project we were put into groups of three and tasked with creating a company. After we formed our company we assigned each other roles such as budget manager designer and C.E.O. Once the design was agreed upon he had to make a formal presentation for our teachers sowing what our budget was how our design function.
