What is a smart goal? A smart Goal is a Goal that Is Specific, What are you wanting to do. Mensurable, What is your time line. Attainable, Can you accomplish your goal. Relevant, is it worth while. Timely, When are you going to do it. those put together make a well rounded and reasonable goal.
I have my own smart gals. My own personal smart goal is to become a starter for my school football team. I'm going to accomplish this by, working hard at practice and showing the best I can do. I have till the end of November to do so. It will be worthwhile for me because it will make me feel accomplished. this is my personal goal that I believe i can achieve. I also have a smart goal set towards school. This for me is achieve above 80's in all of my classes. It is a goal that i have till June to accomplish. To reach this goal I will pay attention in class, participate in class descriptions and study for tests. This goal is relevant to me because these are the grades I need to get to be accepted into the secondary school that I want to attend for my career path. these are what smart goals should look like specific, measurable, attainable, relevant, and timely.

On the 18th of September we had a speaker named Paul Davis come and talk to us about internet safety. One big topic about our digital footprint came up in the presentation and the topic has been following us all year, for example our digital footprint could affect us when applying for jobs and schools, it could impact your every day life and how your friends and family look at you. I learned about my phones IMEI number and how if I'm buying a used phone i should check with the my phone company to see if the phone has been stolen. Another thing that surprised me is how apple and google track you especially apple, how they can track your whole day with out you knowing. The overall presentation was very informational and shocking, with delete being a myth and that internet privacy is a lie.
On September 13 I went to the Rocky View Schools education center in Airdrie Alberta. As part of the Mechatronics academy I and the students of the 4 academies went over to the education center where every one was sat down and the speakers where introduced. In the first hour of the retreat we did some ice breaking activities. After the Ice breaking we had a speaker Veronica Funk who talked to us about our digital footprint and how it could affect us when applying for jobs and schools. After the presentation we head back to W.H. Croxford for lunch.
After every one was done eating we went back to the education center where we then took head shot pictures for our websites. Once our pictures were finished we went over to another room to get interviewed for our website. After a long day we then head back to the school and went home. |
